Emma heads the Mombasa branch office and is a partner at the firm. She holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Pune University, a Diploma in Medical Jurisprudence and Forensic Science from the same University, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. She is also a Certified Public Secretary and a Certified Mediator.
Emma has a long track record of delivering valuable advice on real estate transactions to foreign investors, contractors, developers, investment banks and hotel groups. She guides domestic and international clients through the contractual stages of projects, including corporate and fiscal structuring. She has steered clients through setting up joint ventures for real estate projects and securing finance by way of leveraged financing tools. Her innovative approach to leasing has enabled clients to realize their real estate objectives through licenses, long-term leasing and operating contracts for developments.
Apart from assisting clients to navigate the legal intricacies of the Kenyan real estate market, she has adequate knowledge and experience in advising organizations on matters of corporate governance and statutory compliance. She has also concluded a number of mediation sessions since her certification, recording agreements in family disputes and contractual disagreements.
