George N. Gathuka
George holds a Bachelor degree of Laws Degree (LL. B) from Moi University and a Post Graduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law. He is currently a candidate for a Masters in Law at the University of South Wales, United Kingdom, with specialization in law and governance.
Before joining Gikera and Vadgama, George was on a government secondment appointment to the Republic of South Korea for three (3) years at the Association of World Election Bodies (AWEB) where he was tasked to head a team of professionals engaged from around the world to assist in the implementation of the organization project plan and assist in the development of the organization’s Operational Charter. He has also worked with Obura Mbeche Advocates where he gained experience in legal research, conveyancing, dispute resolution and public interest law among other disciplines of law.
In 2011, George was appointed as a member of a task force tasked with the review and development initial drafts of various Electoral laws such as; Elections Act, 2011 and Political Parties Act, 2011 and Election General Regulations 2012 and Campaign finance laws.
George is also an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (ACIarb) with an avid interest in alternative dispute resolution mechanisms and international best practices.
