Ms. Valerie J. Kasaiyian is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya of 3 years standing and the head of the Power and Energy Department. Ms. Valerie J. Kasaiyian joined the firm in 2014 in a holding over capacity before becoming a fully-fledged litigation advocate within the firm in the same year. In her capacity as a litigation advocate, Ms. Valerie J. Kasaiyian satisfactory handled clients’ cases with the most significant being her successful representation in the arbitation of a construction suit arising from a contract valued at 100 million Kenya Shillings.
After graduating with a meritorious performance in her LLM in Oil and Gas Law, she rejoined the firm as the Head of the newly established Power and Energy Department where she has recently concluded contractual negotiations on behalf of a client setting up a wind power plant that is valued at a contract price of over 70 million US dollars.
Ms. Valerie J. Kasaiyian maintains an avid interest in international law and policy and seeks to assist clients to ensure that the contracts negotiated and managed by the firm comply with international environmental and social best practices and standards. Ms Kasaiyian is a proud U.S Department of State International Exchange Alumni after graduation from Cohort 15 of the YALI Regional Leadership Centre.
